Pastor's Update

Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this; when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.

- 1 John 3:2

Jesus Makes Us More Like Him

Watching old TV shows or movies is more fun when they feature someone who went on to become famous. In their younger faces, when they smile or squint a certain way, we can see traces of who they will become.

In the same way, we bear traces of Jesus. When we first began our journey with Him, He began working in us, making us more and more like Him. And He has continued that work in our lives, slowly chiseling us after His image of longsuffering, kindness, and holiness. As we walk with Christ, we grow into His image more and more every day.

May you continue to see yourself grow into looking more like Him.

Weekly Prayer: For a Blameless Life

Grant me a clean conscience. Where I have sinned, forgive me. When I am tempted, help me remain faithful. Where I am weak, grant me strength. Refresh me in your life-giving, life-renewing grace. Remind me that every good thing I do is really a reflection of your presence with me and your work through me. Grant my conscience peace and rest in your forgiveness as I strive to do what is good and right to your glory with every person and in every situation. Amen.

Campus Work Day

Our fall work day has been scheduled for Saturday, October 13th at 1:00 pm. There is a lot that needs to be done and we could really use your help to make our campus look nice for our Fall Fest guests! If you would like to help, please let Pastor or Tate England know.

Housing Volunteers

This year we have reached out to both Michigan Lutheran Seminary and Huron Valley Lutheran High School for Fall Fest volunteers. It sounds as if we might be getting some students to make the trip to help us! If you are able to help house any students who decide to come up early or stay until Sunday, please let Pastor or Sami know how many students you would be able to take.

Empty Water Bottles

Please remember to bring in your empty plastic water bottles. We will be using them for a craft at Fall Fest.
